Deals are 'Poppin'!

I want to formally welcome Pringles brand chips into the Dollar Tree family. While these cans are a slightly smaller size than what you would find at Wal-Mart (scary) 2 of these $1 -  4.93 oz cans equal a much better deal than 1- 5.75 oz can which is priced around $1.58 at most Wal-Mart locations.

                                         -------------------------------------------------
On a side not don't forget to shop early for any of your Valentine's day needs at your local Dollar Store! While it's hard to even imagine that February is around the corner, you don't want to get caught "heartless" and empty handed! Many stores have already set up displays for the lovely holiday!

Stop by your local Dollar Tree for the 2/$1 deal on any of the Snapple drinks!

Free Flix

Unfortunately Netflix is not free, but some of us are lucky enough to have that roommate who can't live without it.
Regardless; these are some hidden treasures currently featured on Netflix that I advise you to check out.

1. Paper Man (Yes, the classic Emma Stone before many, such as myself, had ever heard of her, but still just as beautiful, graceful, charming, cute, delightful, cunning, angelic, well you know; just perfect)
2. Dazed and Confused (Matthew Mcconaughey like you have never seen him before... actually pretty cool)
3. Heathers ("Dear diary, my teen-angst bullshit has a body count..")
4. Short Circuit (The scene where Stephanie and the robot dance may be one of the most beautiful pieces of cinematography ever created)

Scanning the free Craigslist sections is always interesting. To anyone in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, I think this is a good enough deal to at least check out. : )

Stay classy my friends.

Saving money these days seems to have become a new golden rule. But do not be fooled my friends, saving money does not necessarily mean not spending it. I am a cheap, all my friends know it, and I take pride in what has become my reputation.

While the existance of Thrift/Dollar stores may be one of life’s mose evident beauties, there are several rules to keep in mind while raiding your deal destination of choice.
  1. Be aware of the “too good to be true” idiom. (While this does not apply to everything, it is important to make sure your purchases do not go to waste! While it may be hard to believe, some items can be found at a better value in bigger retail stores)
  2. Keep an open mind. Deals are deals! (It seems the variety of brands and items many Dollar Stores are sporting are growing, remember GENERIC BRANDS ARE NOT YOUR ENEMY)
  3. Get creative.
  4. Lastly, CHECK OFTEN! There is a number of us who will always remember the Dollar Tree Movie Storm of 2011. I made it out with Adam Sandler's Punch Drunk Love (which I have yet to watch!) Many Dollar Stores get shipments of items that other stores have ordered too much of, this is great when shopping for seasonal items such as Christmas, Halloween, Fourth of July etc.

So keep your eyes open friends and your hearts full. Deals are all around us, we just need to learn to believe in the value of each individual dollar.
